James Pearson |
An exceptionally gifted artist … I believe he shows signs of true greatness in the making.
Sir John Dankworth
James is an internationally renowned pianist who has firmly established his reputation by recording and performing with great jazz musicians-such as Elvin Jones, Roy Hargrove, Benny Golson, Johnny Griffin, Dame Cleo Laine...to name but a few. In addition to his backing other performers, his solo performances are in high demand as he is equally at home playing classical music, and broadcasts regularly with orchestras around the globe. In the last few years, he has also worked as house pianist and musical director for Ronnie Scotts in London and released ‘The Best Things in Life’, an exceptionally well received trio album featuring Jeremy Brown and Matt Skelton. In the world of film and pop music he has worked with Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Jeff Beck, Paul McCartney, Will Young, Ray Davies and Kevin Spacey. He also composes music for films-most recently his score for "The Big Smoke" which featured the "Ronnie Scott's All Stars".
A truly great pianist...don’t miss.
